→ Charges erased from court and state records.
This fits if You have older convictions you can't expunge but want hidden from most background checks.
→ Hidden from employers, landlords, and the public.
This fits if A conviction has cost you the right to vote, hold office, serve on a jury, or own a firearm, and you want those rights back.
→ Civic and firearm rights restored where eligible.

Free evaluationProcess
Free evaluation, no obligation. Share what you know about your charges and convictions; we'll tell you in plain language what kinds of clearance you might qualify for.
We confirm eligibility, walk you through your options and costs, then handle every step. Petitions, court filings, hearings, supporting evidence. No legal experience required on your end.
Pennsylvania courts grant most well-prepared expungements and sealing petitions. Pardons take longer and are decided by the Governor. We'll keep you informed and tell you the truth about timelines.
Focus
For thirty years, we've done one kind of work: helping Pennsylvanians clear their criminal records.
No personal injury, no estate planning, no general practice. Just pardons, expungements, sealing, and rights restoration. State by state, the laws change. In Pennsylvania, this is what we know inside and out.
A criminal record can keep you from a job, an apartment, a license, a loan, the right to vote, the right to own a firearm. Most people learn that the hard way, years after the conviction. We've sat across the desk from thousands of Pennsylvanians who didn't know there was a path forward. There usually is. We'll tell you the truth about whether one exists for you.
Plain answers
If your situation isn't covered here, send it through the free evaluation form below — we'll respond personally.
That depends on the type of charge, when it happened, what the outcome was, and whether you've had any subsequent legal issues. Some clearances (like Pennsylvania's Clean Slate sealing) happen automatically; others require a petition. The fastest way to know is to send us your record details for a free evaluation. We'll tell you in plain language what's possible.
Fees vary by service and complexity. Expungements and sealing petitions are generally less expensive than full Governor's pardons, which involve a much longer process. We'll quote a flat fee for your specific situation after the free evaluation. If cost is a barrier, ask us. Sometimes we can help find a path forward.
Expungements and sealing can take a few months from filing to court order. Cannabis pardons under the Governor's expanded program move faster than full pardons. Standard Governor's pardons take years, often two to five, and require a hearing before the Board of Pardons. We'll give you an honest timeline once we know your specific case.
Yes. Anything you share with us during a consultation is protected by attorney-client privilege from the moment we begin discussing your case. We don't publish client names, share your information, or post about our cases. The work happens quietly.
Attorney Dean A. Birdy has been practicing in Pennsylvania for over three decades, and PA Pardon has helped thousands clear their records. We are a Pennsylvania-licensed law firm, not a service or document preparer. You can verify Dean's bar status with the Pennsylvania Disciplinary Board. We'll never ask you to pay for anything before you understand exactly what we're doing for you.
Older convictions are sometimes easier to clear, not harder. Pennsylvania's Clean Slate law specifically addresses older non-violent records. Out-of-state convictions are different. We only practice Pennsylvania law, so we can't clear records from other states. If your conviction was in another state, we'll point you toward who can.
